ABOUT ME
I have loved the sea and beach from my earliest memories. My paintings are often associated with the Dorset coast where I live and work.
I am preoccupied with transformation and a yearning for the divine. “I paint find myself.”
My technique is unconventional, mixing oil and water mediums. My art does not follow contemporary trends and is collected worldwide. I exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery and Royal Society of Oil Painters in London.
My mum
My mum loved the sea and blue was her favourite colour to wear. She had a premonition that I would be an artist before I was born.
My dad
My dad passed on his love of photography and Dorset.
My brothers
I have three older brothers who all inspire me.
My eldest brother Martin attended the famous Wigan Casino Allnighters in the 1970's.
I love dancing to classic Northern Soul tracks.
